Letter From Principal

Cedar Hollow Parents and Guardians,

I just want to provide your family with information as we head into the last few weeks of the year. It is hard to believe that we are discussing the last few weeks of the year as it has absolutely flown by, and I sincerely want to thank all of you for being wonderful partners with us in your child’s education.

We will have our spring concert for 6-8 choir and 5-8 band on Wednesday, April 26, at 1:00 p.m. here at Cedar Hollow. Then on Friday, May 5, we will have our field day at Northwest High School beginning at 12:30 for our students in grades K-6. You will receive more information on this soon. Students in grades 7-8 are dismissed for the day at noon, and can be transported home.

Our last experience of the school year occurs on the last day of school, Wednesday, May 17. We will have all of our awards assemblies on that day. We will begin at 8:15 am and recognize our eighth grade class from 8:15-9:15. Then we will have our kindergarten-fourth grade students recognized from 9:30-10:30. If you attend the K-4 assembly, you are welcome to take your student home with you if you are leaving at that time. Our last assembly is for students in grades 5-7, running from 10:45-11:45. We dismiss that day at noon, but again, if you come for that assembly, your child can leave with you when the assembly is over. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend your child’s awards assembly.

In addition, registration for the 2017-18 school year will occur Tuesday, May 9, and Thursday, May 11, from 2-6 p.m. You will be sent registration materials prior to these dates that have your information already entered. All you need to do is check this information, make any changes that have occurred, and bring those materials in with you. This simple step will save you a great deal of time.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s education, please feel free to give me a call at 308/385-6306.
