Drama Season Comes to a Close

As the drama program just fell short at district competition, Drama teacher Bonnie Brown says it was a very successful season. They were very successful at the Kearney Play Festival, winning Best Tech and Devon Webbon earned a Best Actor award. During conference they received first place and a superior rating. The following students also earned Best Acting awards: Janae Riha, Devon Webbon, Mike Schultz, Harvey Langrehr, and Kristen Fransisco.
At District competition they received a third place and a superior rating. They lost to two very talented teams from Minden and Ord. The following students also earned Best Acting awards: Devon Webbon, Mike Schultz, Harvey Langrehr, Kristen Fransisco, Janae Riha, Lauren Brown, Gustavo Bauer, Taylor Verba, and Bryan Lewis.
Mrs. Brown said that the reason for the success this year was because "the students developed their acting skills, worked as a team, and appreciated the entire experience." She later said that she was disappointed with the teams third place at districts but was confident that the team presented an outstanding performance.
