The healthcare industry is experiencing tremendous growth, and the demand for healthcare will only increase. Advances in technology, the aging population, and accessibility have created more careers in this field. These factors underscore the importance of having a well-prepared workforce that can provide quality healthcare for all people. The opportunities and benefits offered by a career in healthcare are numerous. Working in healthcare provide benefits like career ladder options, varied work schedules, lifelong learning with educational support, career mobility, and portability of skills. Perhaps the greatest benefit is the opportunity to make a difference in the quality of life for healthcare consumers.
The Dean of the UNMC School of Allied Health Professions will be meeting with the parents while students and teachers will be talking with directors representing several of the allied health fields. Physical Therapy, Clinical Laboratory Science, Physician Assistant and Radiation Science will be represented throughout the evening.
We look forward to seeing you and your parents on Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at College Park of Grand Island for this interactive session.
