NOVEMBER MUSIC BOOSTER NEWS & NOTES
by Ruby Tupper
| Already the mornings are cooler, days are noticeably shorter, the leaves are beginning to fall from the trees and I think I saw a snowflake yesterday! It is hard to believe that fall is already here, which means winter and the Holidays are just around the corner. If you are like me, you have enthusiastically watched the Northwest Marching Band perform their field show during halftime at the home football games. Each time the show has improved. The entire band looks sharper and sounds more amazing each performance. | ![]() |
| Just a few weeks ago (August 30th), the band performed in public for the first time this school year at the State Fair wearing new Band T-Shirts. They looked and sounded great at that time. They took their street marching and field show to the next level at Kearney Band Day Saturday, September 27th. The Northwest Marching Band brought home awards for Best Drumline, Best Auxiliary Unit (Color Guard), 1st in Class A and the Sweepstakes Award for Best Overall Band. At Harvest of Harmony the Band earned a Superior rating for their field show and an award for 2nd in Class A for the Parade Competition. | |
CONGRATULATIONS BAND!! YOU SHOULD ALL BE PROUD!! WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START THE SEASON!!!! GOOD LUCK AT THE NSBA STATE MARCHING BAND COMPETITION AT BELLEVUE EAST ON OCTOBER 25th!!!!

Crafters are still welcome, but spaces are nearly sold out. To reserve yours, contact Karen at 379-7753 as soon as possible! Karen needs a few good volunteers to help with the bake sale, lunch, and other activities as part of the craft fair. Anyone interested in helping out with the craft show, should plan to attend the Craft Fair Committee meeting Thurs., Oct. 30th at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Tuppers’ home at 4228 Kay Avenue. If you are unable to attend please give Karen or Ruby (384-7422) a call. |

Fall sports are winding down. Thank you to Dusty & Diana Hast for doing a great job with the concessions for football; also to Julie Griess for stepping in to assist with the concessions for volleyball. Your hard work is greatly appreciated!
We are still in need of someone to oversee the concessions for wrestling/speech and Faaborgs/Tuppers could use some assistance for basketball concessions. Please contact Ruby (384-7422) or Lee or Lisa Faaborg (384-9512) to help out.
