Student-Led IEP
The most successful IEP’s include the student in all aspects. It is a goal of NWHS to help students know their strengths and abilities as well as their needs to be successful. Students need to advocate for themselves to become successful, independent adults. A tool used to help students discuss their own, personal plan and needs is a power-point presentation that the student will use during the IEP meeting to communicate their goals and the paths they intend to take to reach those goals. Each student’s case manager meets with the student prior to the meeting to review the student’s performance, struggles and goals.
