St. Libory Student Wins County Contest

Elizabeth Donovan submits winning entry.

The Howard County Commissioners recently chose an official seal for Howard County.  The commissioners invited the students of the county to design a seal and enter their design in a contest.  The winning design was drawn by Elziabeth Donovan, a 6th grade student at St. Libory.  Her design, which includes the towns and rivers in Howard County, will someday adorn legal documents, vehicles, signs and flags.

Mr. Robert J. Sivick, the Howard County Attorney, presented Elizabeth with a plaque and thanked her for her interest in Howard County.  Her design was chosen from a total of 130 entries.
