Students Receive International Recognition
UCT Presents Awards
Two 1-R students received an extra-special start to their school year when they were presented awards for safety posters they created for the Fraternal Order of United Commercial Travelers. Carol Schroeder, representing the organization, was on hand to present the awards to Jeremy K. and Audrey Q. at the beginning-of-the-year assembly on Wednesday, Aug. 13. Jeremy not only won the state competition but also placed second in the international competition, which took place in Greenville, SC. Audrey also won the state competition for her age group and, in addition, placed third in the international competition. Both students were awarded ribbons and cash prizes for their outstanding posters. Congratulations Jeremy and Audrey!
