Snow Information
With winter weather approaching, I wanted to remind parents regarding late starts and school closings. Many families have signed up to be notified by the School Beacon, our district notification system, but some have not. We will continue to announce school closing information on KRGI AM/FM and KSYZ radio stations as well as TV channels 5 and 13. Usually a decision can be made and announced around 6:00 a.m.
Typically if we need to have a late start, school will begin at 10:00 a.m. Please do not bring your child before 9:00 a.m.and we would prefer 9:30 a.m., as our staff has the same challenges to get to school as students, so they are not always here much before students arrive. If you ever wish to pick up your child from school early due to inclement weather, you are more than welcome to do so. We do require that a parent or someone who has been authorized by the parent to pick up their child in this situation.
Finally, we hope that you will remind you children to dress for winter weather. A long sleeve shirt or a sweat shirt is helpful.
