Northwest FFA Chapter Celebrates FFA Week
The Northwest FFA is celebrating National FFA week February 20-27. With the national theme “Lead Out Loud” the group has chosen activities each day that promote their organization around school.
On Monday, the group showed its appreciation to faculty members and staff by cooking and serving a breakfast lunch. Tuesday had group members and students pulling out their best blue and gold outfits for prizes. On Wednesday, a student favorite, FFA members set up a petting zoo that included a buffalo, a camel and other animals for students to visit. A list of all the days is included below.
Founded in 1928, FFA is committed to helping students achieve leadership, personal growth and career success. Millions of students across the country have been a part of the FFA organization in its 83 year history. Northwest’s chapter, the only one in Grand Island, currently has 39 members.
