Summer Library
A Fun Time for All!
Oodles of fun and reading are taking place throughout the summer, but especially on Wednesdays when Mrs. Marble opens the library from 9 a.m. to noon. Each week, 1-R has scores of visitors anxious to get their hands on books and more books!
Mrs. Chohon and her daughter, Melanie, are helping Mrs. Marble and have created a spectacular night sky outside the kindergarten room, which is quickly filling with stars that represent the books read by our students. In addition to the opportunity to check out books, there are fun activities to experience and prizes for those who participate. For example, on June 23, there were books on display devoted to cooking and cupcakes to decorate and eat! Another Wednesday will be devoted to exploring animals, which will include sculpting clay animals with the aid of a "mystery assistant." We highly encourage our students to continue or begin to participate, whatever the situation, by coming out to the library and having fun with reading!
