Principal's Desk

On August 21, 2009, the kindergarten through 8th grade went over to the city park and helped plant nine out of the thirty-seven trees. Each class helped plant a tree in the park. This we feel will make the children help take care of the park since they helped plant a tree.  There was a nice article in The Grand Island Independent about this event. If you didn't have the chance to see it you can get on their web site and search for it, type "Chapman students help beatify park with trees."

This time of year is a special time for gift-giving. Many of people go out searching for the right gift for the special people in their lives. We pack the store looking for that perfect gift for them. Sometimes we spend so much time, energy, and money on the perfect gift that we forget the true meaning behind searching for it. Giving a gift is a way of showing our love and appreciation. With this season go forth and remember the true reasons for what you are doing.
