| On August 21, 2009, the kindergarten through 8th grade went over to the city park and helped plant nine out of the thirty-seven trees. Each class helped plant a tree in the park. This we feel will make the children help take care of the park since they helped plant a tree. There was a nice article in The Grand Island Independent about this event. | This time of year is a special time for gift-giving. Sometimes we spend so much time, energy, and money on the perfect gift that we forget the true meaning behind searching for it. Giving a gift is a way of showing our love and appreciation.
