Northwest Basketball Season Comes to an End
Vikings Lose in District Action
The Northwest Vikings were going into district play with a 12-6 record and were the #2 seed. They finished their regular season with a home loss versus McCook. Northwest had a bye in the first round and had to play Holdrege in the semifinal game. The Vikings had beaten Holdrege earlier in the year at Northwest High school.
In the Holdrege and Northwest district game, the Northwest Vikings boys were stopped short. They got beat 49-47. Jory Pflasterer’s final shot--a three-point attempt that fell short--would have been enough for the Vikings to advance to the district championship game.
The Northwest Vikings finished the season 12-7.
