SENIORS
If you want an application for any of the scholarships listed below, bring this list to the Counselors’ Office with your name at the top and a mark beside each application you want. We will get the application back to you to complete. Follow the instructions and most importantly, make sure you have the completed application either mailed or turned into the Counselors’ Office by the DEADLINE DATE. NO late applications will be accepted. THE SCHOLARSHIPS YOU HAVE TO APPLY FOR ON THE WEB YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MARK.

NEBRASKA SOFTBALL FOUNDATION-applicant must have been a member of the Nebraska ASA the past and/or current year as a player, team manager, umpire or Nebraska ASA official, 3.0 or above GPA, must attend NE college. DEADLINE DATE: DECEMBER 1, 2009

NATIONAL WILD TURKEY FEDERATION-students must support the preservation of the hunting tradition and actively participate in hunting sports, must have a current hunting license and students must hold a current NWTF membership. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 1, 2010

PETER KIEWIT FOUNDATION LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM-must rank in top 20% of class, must have significant financial need and academic ability. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 6, 2010

ELK’S LEGACY AWARD-must be child, grandchild of an Elk member and exhibit the core values of the Elks National Foundation: Knowledge, Charity, Community and Integrity. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 8, 2010

HASTINGS COLLEGE-WALTER SCOTT SCHOLARSHIP-apply and complete admissions file to Hastings College, rank 20% in class, 26+ composite ACT, complete Walter Scott Application. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 8, 2010

BOARD OF TRUSTEES -ACT 25+, must plan to attend Chadron, Peru or Wayne State College. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 15, 2010

BUENA VISTA COLLEGE-been accepted for admission to Buena Vista University and fill out the scholarship application and you will be considered for several scholarships. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 15, 2010

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN-you need to apply on-line at
http://admissions.unl.edu/apply.  This will make you eligible for most scholarships at UNL DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 15, 2010

NEBRASKA MACHINERY CO SPONSORSHIPS-must attend CCC-Hastings Campus and wish to become a Heavy Construction and Agricultural Diesel Technician. There are two separate programs in which you can participate; the NMC Student Sponsorship Program and the Caterpillar Foundation Scholarship. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 29, 2010

NORMA ROSS WALTER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM OF THE WILLA CATHER FOUNDATION-prospective first year college women student who has plans to continue her education as English major. DEADLINE DATE: JANUARY 29, 2010

BURGER KING SCHOLARS-2.5+ GPA, works an average of 15 hours per week, participation in community service activities, demonstrate financial need. Log on at www.haveityourwayfoundation.org/bksp_application.html to apply. DEADLINE DATE: FEBRUARY 1, 2010

UNK HONORS PROGRAM-ACT 26+, top 25 % of class, essay needs to completed. DEADLINE DATE: FEBRUARY 1, 2010

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-KEARNEY-apply and you will be eligible for most scholarships at UNK. Apply on-line at www.unk.edu. DEADLINE DATE: FEBRUARY 1, 2010

SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE-must plan to attend S.E.C.C. either at Beatrice, Lincoln or Milford Campus, several scholarships are available with different criteria. Only online application forms will be accepted. Apply at http://www.southeast.edu/admissions/fin_scholarships.asp to see what scholarships are available DEADLINE DATE: FEBRUARY 22, 2010

MIDLAND LUTHERAN COLLEGE-apply for admission to Midland Lutheran College at www.mlc.edu/admissions and you will be considered for all scholarships.

AMERICAN LEGION MEMORIAL-applicants must be sons or daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, adopted or stepchildren of members of Department of NE, The American Legion or POW, MIA, KIA, or any veteran that was a current American Legion member at time of death. Financial need, academic achievement and extracurricular activities. Must plan to attend a NE college. DEADLINE DATE: MARCH 1, 2010

CENTRAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE-fill out admission application and scholarship application and you will be considered for all scholarships at all three CCC campuses. You can apply on their web site www.cccneb.edu or the Counselors’ Office has the paper application. DEADLINE DATE: MARCH 1, 2010

There is a scholarship available for students planning on attending Drexel University, Kettering University, Tecnologico De Monterrey, University of Toledo, Johnson & Wales University, University of Cincinnati, Rochester Institute of Technology, Wentworth Institute of Technology.
