Wondering what Music Boosters is all about?

What does Music Boosters do? We help raise money to benefit both the vocal music and instrumental departments. Money goes towards items such as band equipment, uniforms, food, various items or supplies for camps, leadership training, special projects, scholarships and more!

How does Music Boosters make their money? Of course, a successful membership drive like Music Jubilee is an important way to add funds and kick-off a new Music Booster year, but concessions is one of our biggest means to support our organization. Music Boosters is the only organization who benefits from the concession stands, so we are also completely responsible for running and organizing all home sporting event concession needs. This task is best accomplished when each and every member volunteers some amount of time for concessions sometime throughout the school year. Most find this time to be a great opportunity to meet other N.W. parents and have some fun! J The Craft Fair is also an exciting and fun way for Music Boosters to raise some money. If you haven’t ever attended a Northwest Craft Fair, make it a must this year! You won’t regret it! It’s a great way to do a little early Christmas shopping, have fun and put in a little volunteer time as a Music Booster. J

Who benefits? The entire N.W. Music department and each and every student involved.

How do I become a Music Booster member? Fill out the “Be a Northwest Music Booster” membership form and contribute the annual dues of your choice.

What happens after I am a member? As a member you are encouraged to attend meetings to stay in touch with what’s happening and if you choose, be a voice and vote on important Music Booster issues. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month @ 7:00pm, with the exception of the month of May, or if otherwise notified. The meetings usually last no later than 1 hour and are held in the cafeteria. Also, as a member you can participate and volunteer for various committees, concession stand needs or other misc. things that come up throughout the school year.

Will I have to sign up for anything if I attend meetings? Help and input is always appreciated, but your membership involvement can be whatever you want it to be.

Can I become a member anytime? Yes, but if you want your name listed in the music programs used throughout the year at concerts etc., make your membership contribution the night of Music Jubilee or soon thereafter. If you’re not able to make it to Music Jubilee and/or would like to mail your membership please: Fill out the membership form & make check payable to: N.W. Music Boosters and mail to SaDonna Manfull @ 1623 Lariat Lane Grand Island, NE 68803
