Public Meetings on District Structure

Public Meetings on District Structure 1R School St. Libory

During this past year Northwest Public Schools has been discussing how we might improve our operations by possibly changing how the schools in our district are structured.  In April the DLR group was contracted to conduct a comprehensive study of our existing buildings and the programs we offer.  During the spring and summer they went through the buildings and spoke with our staff on a number of occasions.

The next phase in this process is to involve our public in this process.  Over the course of the next couple of months we will be hosting a series of meetings where the information DLR has collected will be shared and our patrons will have a chance to provide input on where they feel we should move as a district.  In this discussion we expect to cover a wide range of options which could include closing buildings, remodeling existing buildings to accommodate different grade configurations, or building new structures.

To give the public a chance to share ideas we will be holding a series of meetings.  The agenda for each meeting will be different so we want to encourage people to attend as many meetings as possible.  Realizing that not everyone who wants to be involved in this process will be able to make it to all the meetings we have also arranged to have these meetings recorded (after the meeting you will be able to access a recording of the meeting by visiting the link that accompanies each meeting date).

The meetings will be held on the dates and at the sites listed below.  Each meeting will begin at 7:00 PM and will run for about an hour and a half.

Please share your thoughts about how we can make Northwest Schools even better for the students we serve by completing the District Structure Parent/Patron Survey.
