1-R SCHOOL TRAFFIC FLOW
Since the paving of Webb Rd., we have been collaborating with the Hall County Roads and Hall County Sheriff’s departments in monitoring traffic flow. Due to the paving of Webb Rd., traffic flow on Webb has increased immensely. Our first and foremost goal is SAFETY for everyone.
Please review the map and share it with anyone who might pick up or drop off your child. Everyone will enter through the north gate (off One-R Rd.). There will be TWO lanes.
- WEST LANE: 3-8 STUDENTS: Students in grade 3-8 will be in their normal location on the blacktop. We asked that you pull clear forward when picking up your child do not stop at their grade level line pull forward.
- EAST LANE: K-2 STUDENTS AND SIBLINGS: Students in grades K-2 must be picked up from the east lane, past the crosswalk. We asked that you pull clear forward when picking up your child do not stop at their grade level line pull forward. For safety reasons, they will be waiting nearest the school, alleviating some back-and-forth through the crosswalk. If you also have an older student, please have them wait on the north side, as well.
All vehicles will exit through the east gate, alleviating the traffic issues on Webb Rd. Please exercise caution and look both ways before entering Webb Rd.
The east parking lot near Webb Rd. is not for daily student pick up. This is reserved for families who need to enter school, Third City Connect Pick up, Athletic Buses etc…. Do not park or leave your car unattended in either of the two traffic lanes.
We will continue to evaluate issues as they arise and look for solutions. Our goal is to be as efficient and safe as possible. We utilize cones for traffic control and rely upon the Sheriff’s department and school officials for guidance. Please be patient and respectful to everyone assisting in this process.
MORNING DROPOFF: Parents will enter through the north gate to drop off their children in the morning. You may drop off your child on the north side, nearest the school. If you need to come in the school, PLEASE park on the south side, nearest the playground.
