We will add them to our list and begin sharing important information with these families. Thanks for spreading the word.

The 1R 2024-25 Yearbook online ordering forms will open today April 1st. Ordering will close on Friday, April 11th. ALL payments will be done through the online ordering process. The cost will be $15. Mrs. Pagel does an awesome job each year capturing memories of the school year and events.Â
Academically our students continue to work hard as we close out the school year. 3rd-8th grade students will be taking the state NSCAS assessment over this next month. Our 3rd through 8th grade will be assessed in English Language Arts and Math. 5th and 8th graders will also take the Science assessment. K-2 will get to show their growth later this month when they complete their end of the year DIBELS and Math MAP assessments. We will be goal setting with our students and challenging them to do their best. We are excited to see their growth. Remember that a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast prior to the test really do make a difference. In addition, daily attendance and positive support from you will only enhance your child’s success. We have a window of time to complete these assessments so please do your best to have your child in attendance or let us know they will be absent so we can make arrangements.
Our middle school Track season will start Friday, April 4th, at 1:00p.m. at Grand Island Senior High. Our NW Middle School Trap team has had a couple of competitions already. Girls and Boys first soccer game will be April 15th. Please check the 1R google calendar and website for all upcoming events. We wish all of our teams good luck in their spring seasons.
Fourth grade will make the trek to Lincoln on Thursday, April 3rd. Many of our other classes will be headed to Stuhr museum and other locations as we wind down the school year.Â
PTO had a busy month. They had a great turnout for Breakfast Buddies again thank you all for supporting this event. There will be another dining night out at Pizza Hut on Diers Ave. location next Tuesday, April 8th. PTO will be sending an order form for Field Day T-Shirts today. It has been a couple years and we probably have had some littles that have grown out of them. This is just for fun not a requirement of Field day attire. Reminder Flower Fundraising forms are due April 4th. This is a great Mother’s Day gift! Delivery is expected to be Tuesday, May 6th. PTO has planned a Family Fun Night at Pete’s Safari on May 2nd, 4-7pm. The monthly meeting date is Monday, April 7th. PTO will host Teacher Appreciation the week of April 29th through May 2nd. Look for more information to come. They are accepting nominations for board positions in 2025-26. If you are interested please reach out to Lisa Allan, Nicole Dramse or Angela Rodenbaugh. .
