February News from Mr. Mazour
Cedar Hollow Parents,
I hope everyone has made it through the challenging January weather and are enjoying this nice spell we are having! I want to make sure you all are aware of some school information that may be helpful to you.
Our Parent Teacher Conferences occur next week on Wednesday, February 7, and Thursday, February 8, from 2-8 pm each day. If you have a child(ren) in grades K-5, you should have already received communication and reserved your time with your grade level teacher. If you have not, please contact your teacher or the office to make sure this takes place. Â
If you have a child(ren) in grades 6-8, you do not need to schedule an appointment, but it is important that you have your child come with you to conferences. Our February conferences for middle school are student-led. It is also important that your child bring their Chromebook with them as this device has the slides needed for their individual conference. At these conferences, all middle school teachers will be available, but will not necessarily sit down with you to conference unless requested. If you would like a private conference with any or all of your child’s middle school teachers, that can be arranged by contacting the office. Â
For those parents of eighth graders, a last reminder that today Thursday, February 1, is the eighth grade orientation at Northwest High School. The open house begins at 6:15 with the program beginning at 7:00. Specific information regarding this even was sent via email. Â
I also want to let you know of a district calendar change for this present school year. All students will now have a full day of school on Monday, April 29, 2024 and no school on Monday, April 22, 2024. The updated district calendar can be found here.Â
Lastly, if you are aware of any kindergartners hoping to attend Cedar Hollow in the fall, and not already communicated that intent to the school, please let them know to contact us as quickly as possible.
I look forward to seeing you at Parent-Teacher Conferences next week! Until then, have a good first week of February!
Sincerely,
Mr. Mazour
Principal
