I AM A CURRENT NORTHWEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS PARENT/GUARDIAN REGISTERING STUDENTS

Parent/Guardian will receive an email on April 11, 2023 stating that the Returning Student Registration icon is available in their PowerSchool Parent Portal Account on a web browser.

I AM A FIRST-TIME PARENT/GUARDIAN WITH NORTHWEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGISTERING STUDENTS

The new student registration button for 2023-24 will be available on May 1, 2023.  The 2023-24 new student registration button will be located on the front page of the website.  The button is located on the right hand side of the screen under the Twitter section and two other buttons.  Click here for a step by step guide with the registration process.

Note: The registration process will take approximately 30 minutes.  Be sure to have the following information available:

• Health Care Provider Information
• Primary and Emergency Contact Information
• Medical Information
• Students driving to school will need vehicle information (make, model & license number)
• Optional: Uploading Documents (Birth Certificate, Health Records, Special Education) The documents can also be brought to your building secretary prior to the first day of student attending school.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR RETURNING STUDENTS

Can I access the registration system from my smartphone or tablet?

Yes, the parent/guardian MUST sign into their PowerSchool Parent portal account in a web browser to find the “Returning Student Registration” icon.

Can I register using the PowerSchool Mobile App?

No, the PowerSchool mobile app does not have the ability at this time.

I don’t remember my username and password for my PowerSchool Parent Portal account?

Contact building secretary or email support@ginorthwest.freshdesk.com for assistance with your account information.

Can I register more than one student?

Yes, parent/guardian can register multiple students.  When you have completed one student, click on the Dashboard button in the top righthand corner or switching students in your PowerSchool account and repeating the process.  Click here for a step by step guide with the registration process.

Can I start the registration process and finish later?

Yes, the registration system will save the completed information.  The parent/guardian can return to the registration system at a later time to complete.

Can I start the registration process and finish later?

Yes, the registration system will save the completed information.  The parent/guardian can return to the registration system at a later time to complete.

I am a parent/guardian of a current student and need to register a new student.

A current parent/guardian has two options to register their student.

1. Go to the Northwest website and click on the new student registration button. If you have an account from registering a previous student, you will sign into your account and complete the online registration process.  If you don’t have an account, you will need to create an account and then complete the online registration process.
2. OR you can can login into your PowerSchool Parent portal account.  Click here for the step-by-step directions to find the new student registration link in your account.

I have not heard if my student’s option has been accepted, should I register my student?

If you have turned in option paperwork to the district office, complete the registration process so this task is completed.

What are the next steps after I submit my registration?

Submit your student’s birth certificate, immunization records and physicals to the building secretary before the first day of school in August 2023.

When will get I get access to my PowerSchool Parent Portal?

Parent’s will get access to their PowerSchool Parent Portal account in August 2023.
